1. What LEFO Search is
LEFO Search (lefonce.org) is a shopping search engine. It queries third-party catalogues (Google Shopping, Amazon, eBay) and shows a comparison of offers ranked by value.
LEFO Search does not sell products and never handles payments, shipping, warranties or returns. Every purchase is completed on the seller's website, under the seller's own terms.
2. Prices and availability
Prices, discounts, availability and product conditions come from external sources and can change at any time. Search results are cached for up to 15 minutes, so they may not match the store page at the exact moment of your visit: the price shown on the seller's website at the time of purchase always prevails. The deal score is an automated statistical estimate, not purchase advice.
3. Affiliate disclosure
The site is free to use and is funded through affiliate programmes: when a user buys after following one of our links, the seller may pay us a commission. The price you pay does not change, and commissions do not influence the ranking of search results, which depends solely on the scoring algorithm described on the home page.
- Amazon Associates (EU) — as an Amazon Associate, LEFO Search earns from qualifying purchases.
- eBay Partner Network — commissions on sales generated through eBay links.
- Netsons affiliate programme — banners and links to hosting, cloud and dedicated-server services are affiliate links; the commission applies to a new customer's first purchase.
- Impact.com — affiliate tracking platform, activated only after consent.
Sponsored links carry the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, and advertising banners are
labelled as sponsored.
4. Privacy notice (GDPR, Regulation EU 2016/679)
4.1 Data we process
- Navigation data: IP address, user agent, date and time, requested page — collected in the server's technical logs and in the logs of the protection/CDN service, needed to run the site and prevent abuse.
- Search terms: the words you search are sent to the catalogue providers to fetch results and kept in an anonymous technical cache. They are not linked to your identity.
- Clicks on affiliate links: we record date, destination store and a pseudonymous visitor identifier derived via a cryptographic hash with a daily salt. The IP address is not stored in clear text in this log.
- Measurement data: aggregate usage statistics, collected only after consent.
- Correspondence: if you email us, we process the data in your message in order to reply.
4.2 Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service and keeping the site secure — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Statistical measurement and affiliate tracking with non-essential cookies — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), revocable at any time.
- Replying to enquiries received by email — legitimate interest / response to the data subject's request.
4.3 Retention
- Server technical logs: per the hosting provider's settings, normally no longer than 12 months.
- Search cache: at most 24 hours, then deleted automatically.
- Affiliate click log (pseudonymous): up to 12 months, to verify commissions.
- Measurement data: per the Google Analytics retention settings.
4.4 Recipients and transfers
Data may be processed by suppliers acting as processors or independent controllers: the hosting provider, the CDN/anti-abuse service, Google Ireland Ltd. (Analytics and Ads), Impact Tech Inc., and the destination marketplaces when you choose to visit them. Some suppliers may process data outside the European Economic Area under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
4.5 Your rights
You can exercise the rights set out in Articles 15-22 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent) at any time by writing to info@lefonce.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (garanteprivacy.it) or with your local data protection authority.
The site does not carry out automated profiling with legal effects and is not intended for children under 14.
5. Cookie policy
On your first visit a banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential categories. Until you choose, measurement and marketing tools remain off (Google Consent Mode v2 defaults to denied).

6. Trademarks and intellectual property
Trademarks, logos, images and product names belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, within the affiliate programmes the site takes part in. Netsons banners are used in the original form provided by Netsons srl, without modification. The site's structure, texts and code belong to the operator of lefonce.org.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the absence of errors in third-party data. We are not liable for purchases made from sellers reached through the site: the contract is exclusively between you and the seller.
